Intraprofessional Education Conference

During my First semester, I attended an intraprofessional education event at the Ted Conference Center in Old Dominion University. This event was held for the multiple different discipline that work within the health sciences. Each table at the event was comprised of a student from a different discipline. For example, at my table there was a Dental Hygiene, Cytotechnology, Physical Therapy, and Nursing student. We were tasked with working together on a case study and explaining our specific approach to treatment. This provided us an opportunity to examining where scopes of practice intersect. Furthermore, we utilized this new information to work together to treat the patient.
