About ME!

Hello everyone! My name is Dalton McAnney. I am a student nurse in Old Dominion University's Bachelors of Science in Nursing program in Virginia. Currently I am finishing my senior role transition clinical in the emergency department of Sentara Obici Hospital. Emergency nursing provides me with the opportunity to care for a vast population of patients with a variety of conditions in a critical care setting. I graduate on May 9th 2020 and have landed my dream position working in the ED of a level one trauma center in Richmond. My plans for the future are to become a trauma certified registered nurse and attend graduate school to become an advanced practice provider. This portfolio is a brief walk through of my nursing education, demonstration of my mastery of core nursing competencies, and explanation of my professional growth and abilities while attending ODU.
